Recording Trigger
Recording starts automatically when the input level rises above this threshold.
Silence Auto-Stop
Recording continues as long as audio stays above the VOX threshold. Once the input level drops below the threshold for this many seconds, recording stops automatically.
Recording uses the input device's native rate (set below). For MP3, the file is downsampled to this rate during conversion — 16000 Hz is plenty for voice/radio audio.
Audio Devices
Software gain applied to the recorded/monitored audio. Use values below 1.0 to reduce volume if recordings are too loud/clipping, or above 1.0 to boost a quiet mic. Applies without needing alsamixer/SSH access.
Save Location
Recordings are written here as they're captured (SD card or a mounted USB drive path).
Cloud Backup
Coming soon: automatically sync recordings from the save location above to a cloud destination (e.g. S3-compatible storage, Dropbox, or Google Drive). This panel will let you configure the destination and credentials once that module is added.
